My teaching experience at K.P.M.H.S.S , Poothotta was a great
learning experience. I learned a lot about myself as a teacher, My strengths
and my weaknesses . The student teaching experience allows us to put everything
that we learned about education and your subject matter in to action .
During my
student teaching experience, I spent a lot of time preparing each lesson plan .
I worked hard to research different way to present the information for each
lesson . I looked for activities that students would enjoy , and I made sure
that I had all of the materials and other things that I needed before class
started . Even then , there were always things that would go wrong . Students
would require much more time and explanation than expected .
As such , I
realized that I needed to be prepared as much as possible but , more
importantly , I needed to prepare to be flexible . You never know what’s going
to come up or what will catch the students attention .
Confidence is crucial
for a great student learning experience students need to see that their teacher
knows what he or she is talking about . When I first started as a student
teacher , I was awkward and unsure of myself .
During my first
internship in K.P.M.H.S.S , Poothotta . It was about one month . I got the
class 8G for teaching mathematics . My teacher in charge where Jayasree Miss (
Teacher of 8I ) . The students would require much more
time and explanation than expected. It was a wonderful experience for me. The
students in my class don’t have any basic knowledge about mathematics some
times I failed to manage them . Still they had good mark in examination most
students are afraid of mathematics teacher . Most of the students don’t ask
their doubt . Although I had explained everything deeply .
During my 2nd internship in 3rd
semester , I got a chance to taught mathematics in 8I and 9I at K.P.M.H.S.S ,
Poothotta . During this period it was a difficult period for me . I had lot of
workload .my teachers in charge where Deepthi Miss (Teacher of 9I ) and Nisha
Miss (Teacher of 8I ). There were students above 50 in each class . Class
management was not effective at first but gradually it was effective . The
students in my class don’t have any basic knowledge about mathematics, So I
taught them how to calculate fast by teaching them Vedic Maths . I explained
every thing in detailed . I found that the most of the students have so many
problems in life . So have to consider the emotions of students before we
reached a conclusion about a student
